The Great Commission Movement of Nigeria (GCMN) is part of an inter-denominational, international Christian organization called Campus Crusade for Christ International, which was begun in the USA in 1951 by Dr.  & Mrs. Bill Bright. Rev. Yemi Ladipo and his wife Sue started the ministry in Nigeria at the University of Lagos. In 2009, we celebrated 40 years of ministry in Nigeria.

Our purpose is to help fulfill the Great Commission of the Lord Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit. We do this by winning people to Christ, building disciples towards spiritual maturity, and sending people out to multiply this process in the lives of many others.

Our vision is to help build spiritual movements everywhere, so that everyone knows someone who truly follows Jesus.A spiritual movement consists of mature disciples of Christ who are winning, building and sending others generation after generation.We use many different strategies to accomplish our purpose, but foundational to all of them is the ministry of prayer.

We recognize that all our efforts are useless without God’s power released through prayer. Therefore we seek to mobilize more and more Christians to pray for the evangelization of our nation and the world. Prayer training conferences, home group meetings and regular prayer bulletins are some of the ways we bring Christians from different churches together to trust God for great things.
